Hi everyone!  Loved the article on the paint chip purse and thought maybe people might be able to use these directions.  I like my bags to have straps and I had a woven one earlier this year that didn't have any, so I made one out of yarn.  I thought other people might find it useful. Here goes directions for a Braided Handbag Strap. Take twice the length you want for the strap. I used six strands of yarn, and made a knot of them at one end. I then twisted them together and knotted the other end If you want a wider strap try braiding each section. I made three sections and braided the three sections together which gave me a 1/4 inch wide half strap. I made two straps so that I could make it adjustable by tying the length I wanted at the top of my shoulder. The knotted ends I sewed with yarn and yarn needle to the two sides of the handbag.

Hope this is helpful  Grin
