All right, if any of you have been visiting the myspace blog then you already know that my silence is due to a free time black out caused by the perfect storm of school and work obligations. Issue #2 is still coming out, I hope to have it online by Friday. In the mean time, blogging will still be spotty till this storm clears. Here’s a new artist, though, for you to check out and be inspired by. Sculptor Ron Mueck, who most notably worked on the puppets for awesome 80’s iconography film, the Labyrinth, creates hyper-realistic sculptures, that is sculptures of the human form that are jarringly realistic, but either smaller or larger than scale size. They are disconcerting and breath taking all at the same time.
